Welcome to the Thames Valley Scale Aero-Tow.. Scale aero-tow meetings are organized jointly by a few friends for the sheer enjoyment of flying radio controlled scale model gliders. There is no chairman or committee and no membership fees. All we ask is that you come along and share in the fun! Events are held regularly throughout the season at Siege Cross Farm. The schedule for the 2012 season is as follows: - 15 April The airfield is located just off the A4, on the outskirts of Thatcham in Berkshire. The site is maintained by the resident landowner as a private airfield for a small collection of light aircraft. We have access to the extensive grass runway which is maintained to a very high standard throughout the year. The small town of Thatcham is under two miles from the flying field and offers a choice facilities including accommodation and restaurants etc.

SU 533 675 There is a Parking Fee of £6.00 per car, per day. There are no exceptions, please pay at the Tx Control on arrival. NOTE: Our events are normally one-day only, but this year we have undertaken to host a two day event on 16 & 17 June. While there will be limited overnight parking available on the air-field for an additional £5.00 per car, please be aware that there are no dedicated camping or toilet facilities available. Registration starts at 09H30. The Pilots Safety Briefing is held at 10H30 and flying starts immediately following the Safety Briefing. Poof of insurance (BMFA or equivalent) is essential.
